It is school policy that all Year 11, 12 and 13 students are entered at GCSE/BTEC/AS/A2/IB for all subjects in which they have followed a course. The only exceptions to this are when a Director of Learning believes that a student will not achieve a pass because they have failed to complete a compulsory element of the course. In these rare circumstances parents will always be informed of the decision to withdraw an entry.
Sandringham students excelled at almost every level in 2012, achieving record results for the school. Headteacher, Alan Gray said he was absolutely delighted for every student receiving examination results this summer and very grateful to all staff for their efforts.
"Our students worked incredibly hard and thoroughly deserve to be rewarded at the very highest level".
There is much talk that standards are dropping despite the increase in numbers achieving higher grades. I believe we are now teaching to an extremely high standard and helping students to achieve far more than they may have done in the past.
