- Access to Library inquiry system
- Book Bites is a lunch time club for students who enjoy reading, selecting and reviewing book and lot of other activities
- Board games are held during Friday lunch times and after school on Tuesdays.
Students can borrow resources from the Library as follows:
- Years 7, 8 and 9 can borrow 4 items
- Years 10 and 11 can borrow 5 items
- Years 12 and 13 can borrow 10 items
Music and Films
The collection of DVDs and CDs to support the curriculum has increased. Subjects covered are:
- Modern Foreign Languages - Films
- Music - Themes from Musicals as well as classical music
- Dance - Ballet
- Sport - Olympics and Rugby
- English - Variety of films including To Kill a Mockingbird, Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing etc
- Media Studies - a selection of films to support the curriculum
- Religious Studies - Variety of themed films to stimulate discussion
- Leisure DVDs and videos are available for loan
Connexions
The Connexions Centre is housed in the Library and is administered by the Library staff. The stock includes information on:
- Careers
- Applying to University
- University prospectuses
- Gap years
- Creating CVs
- Interview techniques
- Modern apprenticeships
- Local college propectuses
Students have special lessons designed to help them use the Connexions Centre in an independent manner.
