Behind The Scenes: The Auditions!
Have you ever wondered what happens when you audition for the hit ITV1 talent show Britain's Got Talent? Well me, Robert is going behind the scenes to find out all about the Britain's Got Talent auditions! Here is an exclusive interview with an audtionee, Abigail, age 12. She is auditioning for the show this year to be on the 2011 series of Britain's Got Talent. Abigail is a singer and will give us an inside view on what actually happens in the auditions, and what things are like if you want to audition. She is hoping to get as far as Liam last year, who got to the finals. I personally think she is a great singer and I think she deserves to get to at least the live shows of the competition! Abigail, who is called Abbie by her friends, really enjoys singing and wants to have a great experience on the show. She also wants to improve after being on the show and thinks it will also improve her confidence. Here is an exclusive interview of what really goes on at the Britain's Got Talent auditions:
What do you do in the audition stages on Britain's Got Talent?
First of all you sing in front of the producers, if they like you, you get to perform in front of Simon, Piers and Amanda, after that you get to the semis then it's the big final!
Did you enjoy going to the auditions, if so why?
Yeah, I really enjoyed going because firstly I got to miss school, which was a bonus! Also it was really exciting going on a mini-trip to London!
Did you get nervous when you were there?
I wasn't too nervous when I got to the actual place, but I was when it got closer to me going in to sing to the producers of the show.
Did you meet anyone there that was really good?
I met a man and a woman who sung a duet of "Rule the World" by Take That, they were in perfect harmony and I'm sure they will go through!
Do you think that shows like Britain's Got Talent give normal people chances of fame?
I don't think you get that big after going on Britain's Going Talent but I think in competitions like the X Factor you get further because more people watch it and you get more publicity if you go on that show. I think the more unique act you have the more chance you have of getting famous, also I think if you are a really good singer you might get far.
How far would you like to get and why?
I would like to get through to at least the live shows in front of the real judges because I want to have a bit more experience and I think it will help me improve.
Thank you for the interview Abbie and good luck on the show!
No problem and thanks!
- Robert
