PERSON 1:
In the early hours of Sunday morning Sian O'Callaghan, a clubber from Swindon,
left a Japanese themed night club and never made it back to the flat she shares
with her boyfriend.
PERSON 2:
On Tuesday 400 volunteers joined the search for her, accompanied by over 60
members of the Police Service, including those who helped with the Jo Yeates
investigation last year.
PERSON 1:
They began at Savernake Forest in Wiltshire, where her mobile phone was last
used before she vanished.
PERSON 2:
Another report, by a woman through a social networking site blogged that two
men tried to lure her into a van in the same area.
PERSON 1:
The site was reported to have been targeted by a driver on the same day as the
search began. This vehicle was said to have been red like the van allegedly seen
near the forest.
PERSON 2:
Women who live around the area have been told to stay at home late at night or
to travel in groups.
PERSON 1:
Last night a vigil was held at St Barnabas Church in the Gorse Hill area of
Swindon.
PERSON 2:
Nearly 200 people turned up to light candles and say prayers.
PERSON 1:
On Wednesday afternoon Detective Superintendent Steve Fulcher said: "We have
made good progress. I believe we are getting very close to identifying Sian's
whereabouts. Search and rescue teams are now in place and they are to be joined
by specialist search dogs."
