A key aspect of the work of the school is supported by Student Voice. The views of the student body are regularly consulted in all aspects of school life from staff appointments to campus developments such as our catering provision. This work is led by the Students Leadership Team (SLT). The SLT are an elected body from each year and form in the school. They are organised into these working groups: Teaching and Learning, Charity, Student Wellbeing, Digital, Development and Community.
The groups meet regularly, supported by a member of school staff, and their views are always considered and more often taken. The SLT are currently working on Emotional Wellbeing, Plans to visit other schools and Listening to Learners – a project to facilitate students giving feedback to teachers about their learning. A key project from them each year is organising and running our annual charity day at the end of the Christmas term. This highlight of the year is themed and the below pictures give you a flavour of the day! In the 2016 Charity day they raised an amazing £2000 for the Ollie Foundation, and just recently £2200 was raised for Red Nose Day!
