Secondary Transfer Open evening 2016 - TUESDAY 19th July 2016 5.45 p.m. - 8.45 p.m. (TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE)
Our incredibly popular Secondary Transfer Open Evening has now moved to JULY each year. We hope you like this new arrangement and that it is more convenient for families. The event is for anyone considering a move to Secondary School for 2017 and beyond. As usual, there will be FOUR talks by the headteacher in the SandPit Theatre and the opportunity to tour the school, meet students and staff and see the wonderful facilities.
Tickets are now available in advance for the headteacher's speeches. These can be obtained from either the SandPit Theatre box office or direct from school reception. Please note that you will not be able to reserve tickets - they must be collected prior to the open evening. We also prioritise families of year 5 students (turning year 6 in September 2016) and limit the number of tickets per family to a maximum of four. The speeches are very popular and we need to make sure as many people as possible can see them. Half of all tickets will be distributed in advance and half will be available on the evening. The times of the four speeches are 6.00 p.m., 6.45 p.m., 7.30 p.m. and 8.15 pm Please make sure you arrive early to avoid any delay to the start of the speeches.
We request that you walk to the event to avoid traffic congestion, unless you are coming from the villages to the North of St. Albans. There will be NO PARKING ON SITE.
There will also be the opportunity to see the school in action and be part of a question and answer session with the headteacher during one of our Open Morning Tours on the following dates:
Wednesday 21st September 9.00 a.m. - 10.45 a.m.
Friday 23rd September 9.00 a.m. - 10.45 a.m
Monday 4th October 9.00 a.m. - 10.45 a.m
Tuesday 5th October 9.00 a.m. - 10.45 a.m
Places for these may need to be capped, depending upon the level of interest. Please book appointments for these Open Mornings in advance by contacting the main switch board. The school will be open on other dates if these are not convenient.

Examination results 2015
We are really proud of the achievements of all our students this summer. They have been rewarded with many outstanding results in their various examinations. At GCSE, 84% of students achieved 5A* - C including English and maths, which is a wonderful performance and reflects the talent and effort of our lovely year 11 students. Over 38% of all results were A* and A grade, with many achieving all A* and A grade results. As usual, we report combined BeauSandVer results at A-level which is the combination of results from our post-16 consortium including Beaumont, Sandringham and Verulam students. These were also excellent results across the three schools with students progressing to Higher Education at some of the very best Universities in the UK. Headline figures for GCSE and A-level are shown in more detail on the examinations page. I would like to congratulate all our students for their work and also thank the staff for their outstanding work. Well done to everyone and good luck in the future!
The next phase of our building works will begin in June with an extension to the music/art block.
