Sandringham Sixth Form - how to join

Application form can be downloaded here.

Our wonderful sixth form (graded Outstanding in November 2014) is open to anyone who meets the GCSE entrance criteria, whether you are from Sandringham or another school. We work in partnership with Beaumont and Verulam Schools in the BeauSandVer consortium, allowing students to access a very wide range of subjects. Each year, large numbers of external students choose to join us from all over Hertfordshire and we make sure you feel comfortable and welcomed right from the start of your transition. Distance is not an issue, provided you can make your way to and from the school.

There are currently 330 students studying A-level subjects making it one of the largest academic sixth forms in the area, and over 800 students in total studying across BeauSandVer. You will be able to study in our purpose-built sixth form campus which opened in November 2012, including the split-level study zones, large teaching rooms and our on-site Starbucks cafe.

You will receive a very high standard of teaching, be able to access a wide range of course opportunities and have the support and preparation to help you be successful and move on to some of the very best Universities in the country.

We have arranged the following key events across BSV to help you make the important decision of where to study you A-levels next year:

Examination results 2015

We are really proud of the achievements of all our students this summer. They have been rewarded with many outstanding results in their various examinations. At GCSE, 84% of students achieved 5A* - C including English and maths, which is a wonderful performance and reflects the talent and effort of our lovely year 11 students. Over 38% of all results were A* and A grade, with many achieving all A* and A grade results. As usual, we report combined BeauSandVer results at A-level which is the combination of results from our post-16 consortium including Beaumont, Sandringham and Verulam students. These were also excellent results across the three schools with students progressing to Higher Education at some of the very best Universities in the UK. Headline figures for GCSE and A-level are shown in more detail on the examinations page. I would like to congratulate all our students for their work and also thank the staff for their outstanding work. Well done to everyone and good luck in the future!

Building projects

The next phase of our building works will begin in June with an extension to the music/art block.
