Facilities for hire

Sandringham School is a large secondary school situated in St Albans. Organisations and clubs in the local community are able to hire and make use of our facilities.

Facilities

Our facilities for hire are as follows:

Sports Hall

The sports hall can accommodate sports such as badminton, netball, tennis, football and hockey. Specialist facilities have been provided for basketball and cricket.

Gym

Our traditional gymnasium has a wooden floor. It is can be used for Keep Fit, Martial Arts and Performing Arts.

4G Pitch

Our fantastic 4G, all weather, multi sports pitch is suitable for football and rugby. We hire the full pitch, half a pitch or a quarter pitch.

Tennis/Netball courts

We have a total of 8 tennis courts / 4 netball courts. Please note there are currently no floodlights on the courts.

Dance Studio

Spacious Dance Studio with suspended timber floor complete with mirrored wall and double barre. Variable ceiling lighting.

Please note the Dance Studio is not suitable for Tap.

Drama Studio

Comprises of two rooms separated by a portable wall system with single door access. The flooring is “Harlequin” vinyl and is a specialist floor for drama and TV Studios.

Swimming Pool

Our swimming pool is an indoor heated pool comprising of 6 standard lanes and has its own changing facilities. Please note, we do not offer pool hire for parties.

Classrooms

A variety of classrooms in the main school building and various locations throughout the school. Tables and chairs to accommodate up to 30 with access to interactive whiteboards in certain rooms.

Main Hall

A larger than an average hall with full side access and a covered outdoor seating area. can be used with small hall or separately.
