The largest-ever Sixth Form intake at Sandringham School in St Albans have excelled in their A-levels, against a backdrop of new-style exams in all subjects.
The majority of pupils achieved high grades and will be progressing to university or apprenticeships, with some pupils going to Oxbridge and others representing every category from medicine to engineering to the arts.
Head boy Stanley MacMurray received three A* grades and is off to Cambridge to study medicine, which he has been passionate about since he first joined the school seven years ago.
Headteacher Alan Gray said: “It is our greatest honour as teachers to celebrate the success of all our students and help in some small way to supporting their future lives, and those of others.
“I would like to congratulate everyone in the upper sixth for their achievements today and thank all our staff for their tireless work over the past two years. Well done!”
