Sports at Sandringham

Sport plays a major part in the life of the School. All students have two hours of Physical Education curriculum time each week at Key Stage 3 and 4, whilst getting one hour at key stage 5. Alongside this there exists a very extensive extra-curricular sporting programme which gives opportunities for all students to participate in additional physical activity and sport on a intra and inter school competitive level. Our aim is to develop provision for all giving both competitive and recreational opportunities for every student.

Sandringham has a rich history in sporting success and continues to perform at a very high level. We take part in all major competitions on a District, County, Regional and National level, as well as also touring internationally to compete against clubs and schools in other countries, having recently visited Holland, Spain and Malta with future tours already planned. We also regularly have a number of students gaining representative honours and District, County, Regional and even International level.

Our facilities for sport are outstanding including a new £2 million sports Centre, All weather astroturf, 25m swimming pool, a gymnasium, six Tennis courts, 4 Netball courts, 2 Football pitches, 2 Rugby pitches, a fitness suite and 2 Dance studios.
