Students dance at Wembley Stadium
On Friday last week the Dance Department took along 50 students to perform at Wembley Stadium in the half time Dance Programme of the Saracens vs Toulouse, Heineken Cup match. UK chart topping band, The Vamps performed live with the students who performed a routine especially choreographed for the night’s performance.
The process leading up to the performance began with a 1 hour rehearsal in Harpenden to learn the especially choreographed routine by the Saracens Dance Community leaders. Further rehearsals took place throughout the week leading up to the performance on the Friday. Our excitement and anticipation grew as we approached Wembley stadium and we were lucky enough to have match tickets which involved watching the pre-match performance by The Vamps and The Rock Choir. Backstage and nerves were running high. Students were practising frantically and the girls were on the lookout for a glimpse of The Vamps. Once on the pitch adrenaline was running high and the students performed with such enjoyment and enthusiasm. We are all very proud of the students and Miss White who took part in this very special performance and a memory we hope the students will remember. Twitter:@SandringhamDance
